Since July’s First Friday fell on Independence Day this year, all the galleries downtown took a holiday. But, if you still need an art fix, visit us this Friday, July 11th; we will be open until 9 pm.

Need a dinner recommendation? Click HERE for a list of excellent downtown restaurants, all within a block of the gallery.

We are easy to find, just off of Moore Square and up the street from Marbles. Click HERE for directions.

Current Exhibit: Four Photographers

Four different approaches to fine art photography and a wide variety of techniques, from ancient to cutting edge; all in one room together.

Stephen Aubuchon, Diana Bloomfield, Kim Ellen Kauffman and Andrew Ross. Click HERE to see the entire exhibit or, better yet, stop by and see these photographs in person (through August 9th).

New Artist: Merrill Shatzman

Inspired by hieroglyphs, calligraphy and writing from around the world, Merrill Shatzman creates layered abstract woodblock prints on handmade papers, reminiscent of ancient manuscripts. She lives in Durham and is both an artist and an associate professor of art at Duke University.

Shatzman’s “glyphs” are in numerous museum collections including the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American Art and Harvard’s Fogg Art Museum. MORE.

Thank you for your support.

Regular hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 5pm

We look forward to seeing you soon.
